STEVE HYDE

President and GM, Space and Mission Engineering

As general manager of the space and mission engineering sector at Arcfield, Steve Hyde leads an expert team of engineering professionals to provide high-end systems engineering and integration services, modeling and simulation, analysis, cybersecurity and IT architecture, modernization and governance to the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and military intelligence customers.


Steve has more than 29 years of intelligence, defense, and federal civilian-related operational mission support, systems engineering, systems integration, information technology, software development, and management consulting experience with large-scale programs and diverse project portfolios. He is an operations research analyst and decision analyst by training and is driven by a desire to use technology and innovation to make the most well-informed decision possible in support of critical national security missions.


Prior to joining Arcfield, Steve was vice president of the space programs group, a division of the intelligence sector at Perspecta. In this role, he managed a team of 700 employees and programs totaling $226M in revenue and ensured the consistent and successful delivery of a broad range of capabilities that enabled critical national security missions for the IC.


Previously, he held leadership roles in the intelligence sectors at both BAE Systems and CSRA (now GDIT). Prior to joining CSRA, Steve spent 19 years at TASC Inc., where he held positions of increasing responsibility servicing the IC and Department of Defense, most recently serving as the operating unite vice president and customer-facing executive for two IC agencies.


Steve received a bachelor’s degree from The State University of New York at Potsdam and a master’s degree in public administration and policy from The State University of New York at Albany. He also holds a Master of Science degree in information systems from Strayer University with a focus in distributed analytics and decision analysis.
